The Thunder stormed into Waterford!

After a lopsided victory vs Hagersville last Tuesday (16-0) the Thunder rolled into Waterford for The Nelson Emerson Tournament and for a bit of payback. A few weeks back The Thunder let a win get away vs Waterford. A defensive breakdown lead to 3 goals in the third and a tie. Last night the Caledonia Thunder Novice Reps were not about to let that happen again. Led by our Captian Zach Rogers 2G, 1A and Assistant Captain Richard Goodwin 3G, the team scored often and team defense lead by Josh Roloson in net was wicked! Puck possesion was strong and the Thunder won most of the faceoffs. Everyone who was at the game last night stood up and cheered when we were all treated to an unbelievable HON ( Highlight of the Night ) goal...Zach skated hard into Waterford's zone with Nolan Putt, then Nolan slowed down and dropped behind Zach and called for the drop pass...then Nolan blasted it past the goalie. All you can say is WOW!
Final score was 6-1 for Caledonia.

Next up at the Tournament...Port Dover. Last time we played them in league play we tied. Time to show them how much the The Thunder have improved.

Offensive Player of the game vs Hagersville: Brendan Roy
Defensive Players of the game vs Hagersville: Owen Brunell and Riley Richards

Offensive Players of the game vs Waterford: Zach Rogers and Richard Goodwin
Defensive Player of the game vs Waterford: Josh Roloson

Let's keep it up...Skate Hard, Play Hard and have Fun!!!
