Back to Back Wins!

Tuesday night Cayuga dropped by for a taste of the Thunder.
The Caledonia Thunder came out rumbling! The team defense was spectacular. Not only did our defense play great the forwards made a point of coming back to help. The team held Cayuga to only 6 shots on net. Nicely done! Richard "The Jet" Goodwin and Zach "Attack" Rogers came out flying and combined for 8 points. Craig "Bulldog" Stefureak netted a goal aswell. The fine team play could be seen all over the ice as nice break out passes were made from the Defensive zone and on down the ice towards Cayuga's goal. Austin "The puck stops here" Pont put together a solid effort. Special mention should be made for Jeffery "Turbo" Armstrong for being a last minute (literally) call and being a true team player.

Puck possession was another big plus in this game. Total face offs...29...The Thunder forwards won 23 of them. Awesome job!

The Caledonia Thunder rolled into Burford Monday night with pay back on their minds. A week earlier Burford beat The Thunder in their home...not a good idea. From the drop of the puck it was a hard fought game that saw Josh "Rolie the goalie" Roloson stop 20 of 22 shots. The was good enough to earn him defensive player of the game. Richard "The Jet" Goodwin had his engine revving as he popped a hat trick and Zach"Attack"Rogers had a strong two way game that helped the team win 3-2.

It was overheard that the coach of Burford said, "Those guys have come along way in a week!"
