Tuff Loss

Well after jumping out to a quick 3 goal lead in the first period and playing a solid second, the Thunder's team defence was not strong enough to with stand a 5 goal out burst by Ingersoll. Although we lost the game some very positive signs came out of the game. In the the first period Richard, Nolan and Craig hooked up on brilliant passing play resulting in a goal. All lines were passing much better and looking for the open player. Another solid effort was put in by our goalies and Nathan got his first goal of the season.

A few team stats from the Ingersoll game:

Shots for 25 Shots against 18
Face offs won 23 Face offs lost 3

Both of these stats are big improvements. Good work Thunder!

Two Practices this weekend should help them prepare for Burford on Tuesday and then the Thunder are off to West Lorne for their first Tournament of the Season.

Player(s) of the game vs. Ingersoll: Our Goalies, Josh and Austin.

Remember...Skate hard, play hard and be first on the puck!

Thanks to our Manager Dennis for picking up team water bottles. Water is important to keep your energy up through out the game. Small sips each shift change will keep you feeling strong in all three peroids.
